It took an hour and a half of patience and bonding but Rachel, Nick, Marguerite, and I had our first successful unsupervised rush today. The film was The Lobster by Greek director Yorgis Lanthimos, a delightfully absurd comedy about relationships.
The film consists of many static long shots that linger and allow you to become immersed in the wonderfully awkward dialogue and has a score that harkens back to The screeching strings of Bernard Hermann’s Psycho score.
