Hi Everyone

My name is Rachel Vincent and I am a senior at Oakland University. I am a double major in Cinema Studies and Communication. I’m excited be attending this years trip to TIFF and to be apart of this class as well.

I’m the current president of the Filmmakers Guild on campus, with hopes of becoming a producer one day in the film industry. My favorite films include The Perks of being a wallflower, Vertigo, Wall-E and The Lion King. I’m also a sucker for horror films such as Saw and It follows. For TV I currently have an addiction to Grey’s Anatomy and Friends reruns. Besides that I love working out, watching football and listening to music.

I looking forward to leaning how to learn what it takes to be apart of a film festival and why some films are picked over others. I’m also interested in the history of the film festivals and how social media has played a big part in today’s industry.

I’m can’t wait to see whats in store for my last year at OU and it starts with this trip!
