Hello Classmates,

My name is Ryan Barrera ad I am Junior at oakland University. I previously attended community college and Michigan State university pursuing a Kinesiology degree in physical therapy. Though after sever internships it was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life and decided to go with my initial gut instinct and pursue a career in film and theatre.

In High School I was apart of the video club and theatre department, only as a contributor from behind the camera and pre-production. I Starred and a feature length production movie for my high school and was entered in the Ann Arbor Film Festival. Do not be confused the acting was horrible, I was only selected for the role to get into a class I wanted to take senior year and to this day I have never seen the film. I enjoy every genre of films from Academy standards to Sharknado in the SyFy channel. I look forward to this class and everything new I will be introduced to as I do not know a lot about film festivals but I know it is something I will definitely be involved in during my career.
