Hey, my name is Maddy Kachadurian. My last name is long, intimidating, and Armenian, however it is phonetic so it isn’t as scary as it appears. I am a Cinema Studies major and an English minor. I vlog when I remember to so I usually have a camera with me, and I’m an RA so I’ll probably talk about that a lot.

I don’t have a favorite film for a few reasons, the first being that I am really bad at picking and having to pick makes me anxious so I usually just give up. I also don’t really like movies that much, I would choose to watch TV over a movie any day.

If there is one thing I can pick favorites of, it is TV. My go to favorite TV shows are Veronica Mars, Community, and Firefly. I watch so much TV that I am sure that I have other shows I love (and so many I watch regularly) that I just can’t think of right now. As underrated TV goes, Cult is a pretty intelligent thriller that aired for about a season on CW back in 2013, it was canceled because it didn’t quite fit the station, however and I would recommend it highly.

I am excited for TIFF, if for no other reason then so I can say I’ve been to a film festival that isn’t The Traverse City Film Fest. In addition to the movies, I am looking forward to be around the film festival atmosphere. I am a big fan of people watching and I think TIFF lends a great atmosphere for it. Finally I’m looking forward to TIFF because when I grow up I aspire to be a Canadian (a girl can dream, right?).
